I have a server, it has 2 NICs, one is disabled with no set IP and the other is set t 192.168.1.254/24.Started getting calls fomr users saying thier server based apps were not wokring. I do like the software trying to figure out where the APs, and has helped us to map out missing ones, but you definitely need at least 3 nearby scans to triangulate them, otherwise it just doesn't show them, i.e. ![]() Windows isn't the best at reconnecting to a stronger signal. May need to rescan again below them, but reconnect my wifi before so, to ensure it's definitely connected to it. I have noticed that sometimes I get a really bad signal even directly below an AP, so not really sure what to do about that, as they seem to be working fine. If it will help anyone, this is my ground floor scan, for scale the buildings about 63m wide.īlue is a worse signal, and red is good, I have tweaked the scales to exaggerate it for a better image to work from. Ignoring that and looking at only the signal levels, they remain consistent between laptops. my desk I got 110Mbps, but through say I was regularly getting 500+ Mbps download speeds. Running a normal speedtest in the same location, i.e. ![]() On most of my scans I was getting download speeds reporting of 100+ Mbps, and my other, on a different model lenovo laptop, was getting 20-30 mbps speeds in the same locations. can be hit and miss a little, we used 2 computers and got wildly different results. So I bought Netspot, thought I'd give it a try. ![]()
